A MESSAGE FROM AMERICUS
Hello, my name is Americus Williams and I am the athletic trainer at Asheboro High School. I have worked full time for Randolph Health Athletic Training since 2017. It was my first full time job after becoming certified.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training (2014) from Shaw University in Raleigh, NC.
My favorite sports to work are baseball, football, and soccer. I enjoy working soccer because I worked it so much these past few years and I finally understand the game. I love working baseball and football because I played these two sports all my life even in college at Shaw University (Go Bears!).
I decided I wanted to go into Sports Medicine after I fractured my ankle in high school my senior year and had to go through extensive rehab to get back to playing sports.
In my free time I enjoy spending time playing sports (baseball and basketball), playing cards, spending time with family and traveling to beaches with my wife Alyssa. I have been married to my gorgeous wife since 2016. We live in Greensboro. A year after undergrad I had the opportunity to land an internship with the New York Giants as an Athletic Trainer Summer Intern for the entire 2015 preseason.
I'm proud to be a part of the Blue Comet Family and a member of the RHAT staff.
