A MESSAGE FROM JESSICA

Hello, my name is Jessica Wright and I began working at Randolph Health Athletic Training in June of 2021. I am Currently at Southwestern Randolph High School in Asheboro, NC. This is my first job since completing my degree. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from East Carolina University in 2021. Go Pirates!

The sports I enjoy the most are football, soccer, and basketball. I played basketball growing up for many years and I love the energy and just being around the sport. There’s never a dull moment on the court. I also thoroughly enjoy being on the sidelines of football, soccer, and basketball because of the high intensity of each sport.

I was never injured playing sports thankfully, but I did see others get hurt. I was always curious as to who the person was that would come and care for the athlete. I then learned that it was our school’s athletic trainer. From there I enrolled in our school's sports medicine program and loved it so much I decided I wanted to make a career of it. I became an athletic trainer because I wanted to make a positive impact on each athlete that I came across. I also wanted to be a part of each athlete's success and to show them support in their high school endeavors.

Outside of work, I enjoy taking trips to the beach or traveling to the mountains, and reading a good book or watching movies.

I am proud to be a part of the Randolph Health Athletic Training staff as well as Southwestern Randolph High School, go Cougars!
