A MESSAGE FROM MICHAEL
Hello, my name is Michael Thompson and I’m the athletic trainer at Providence Grove High School. I have been with Randolph Health as an athletic trainer for two years now. This was my first official full-time job out of college.
I have a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from East Carolina University, home of the pirates. Within the next year or two I plan on getting my master’s online, so I can still be a part of the wonderful Randolph Health family.
One of my favorite sports to work with would have to be Softball, due to the willingness of the girls to win, they are never down and out whether we win or lose, and just their competitiveness alone is unmatched.
I decided to be an athletic trainer solely because it has every aspect of almost every medical personnel that you can think of. Also, being a former athlete, I always used to wonder when kids got hurt who they saw to get better, and I’m glad that now I’m the person they come and talk to.
I love to work out, going to the movies, going bowling, going to the beach, going to theme parks and just staying active.
I’m very proud to be a part of Randolph Health Athletic Training and proud to be at Providence Grove High School (go Patriots).
